From outside of Vancouver, BC, Taylor Skelton creates music about life’s experiences. As a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, his style is fluid, from a solo acoustic confessional to bombastic punk rock and hints of pop and hip hop. Taylor has recently set up SUMAC STUDIOS and is releasing singles from his D.I.Y. project throughout 2021.

WASPS WINGS is a sweet little love song. From a beach on the West Coast with an image of a woman I'd never met, this song is an ideal of what a perfect romance could be. It's a personal song, and a good snapshot of where my mind was at when I wrote it. It's also fantastical and unreal while being firmly grounded in the sand. The character wants to be as good as the woman in question, and the hope is that maybe he's closer than he actually believed himself to be.
